Early Childhood Center / VPK

Welcome to The Early Childhood Center/VPK at BSAC!  Our program is
developmentally appropriate and addresses all aspects of your child's cognitive,
socio emotional, and physical development.  Our program includes the
Scholastic Curriculum, gymnastics, swimming, martial arts, tennis, arts and
crafts, field trip experience, and much, much more!

AVAILABLE OPTIONS

The Academy of Early Learning at BSAC offers a variety of schedules to
accommodate your needs:

1) 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. Early Drop Off

2) 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. VPK - No Charge

3) 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. Lunch and Longer

4) 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. All Stars Program

5) Full Day

6) Full Day (7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) and Half Day (7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or
    1:30 to 6:30 p.m.) options for 3-year olds

About Childcare Programs

DID YOU KNOW:

*  Approximately 24 million school aged children require care while their parents are at work.

*  There are almost 15 million latchkey children in the U.S.

*  63 percent of children in Florida have working parents

*  Juvenile crime (vandalism, under age drinking, drug use, illicit sexual behavior) is most likely to occur between
    the hours of 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. 

WHEN LEFT UNSUPERVISED, STUDIES INDICATE CHILDREN:

*  Have higher absentee rates at school

*  Have lower academic test scores

*  Exhibit higher levels of fear, stress, nightmares, loneliness, and boredom

*  Are 1.7 times more likely to use alcohol

*  Are 1.6 times more likely to smoke cigarettes

CHILDREN WHO PARTICIPATE IN QUALITY SCHOOL AGE CARE PROGRAMS:

*  Are more cooperative with adults

*  Are more likely to resolve conflicts by talking instead of hitting and fighting

*  Improve their academic performance

*  Avoid being retained a grade
