Today the students at Lithia Springs sustained their love for gardening by planting vegetables! The vegetable plants the students planted were kindly donated to the school by Lowes. The students enjoyed planting their own plant that they have the chance to watch grow and eventually produce real food!
Today the gardening club students prepared the land for planting! The students learned the correct way to pull weeds and clear the land. After pulling all of the weeds in the desired location students cleared out the grass and rocks. Now the land is ready for their garden!
The Art Club at Brooker Elementary created thankful pumpkins today! The students wrote things they were thankful for on strips of paper which were then pasted together to shape a fall pumpkin! Afterward, each of the students got to take a photo with their completed pumpkin.
With the awesome new hockey equipment donated by retired Tampa Bay Lightning hockey player Glen Metropolit, students in the Sports and Recreation club practiced their skills! Students took turns shooting at the goal while focusing on developing their hockey skills alongside their friends.
Students in the Gardening Club at Kingswood Elementary took a field trip today. During the trip, students learned more about growing plants in the greenhouse versus outdoors. Students even got the chance to plant multiple plants outside and water them!
