TRIDENT Treasure Gala – February 15 2020

February 5th, 2020|0 Comments

Dear Friends of BSAC,

BSAC would like to thank you for your interest in our upcoming fundraiser, The Trident Treasure Gala, which will take place Saturday, February 15, 2020, at The Regent in Riverview. We anticipate an outstanding evening with more than 425 guests in attendance.

The Trident Treasure Gala will be our signature event of the year. Guests and sponsors will enjoy a sit-down dinner and open bar, all while dressed in their favorite pirate attire! Guests will also be able to bid on unique items in our silent and live auctions. All money raised will provide scholarships for programs that are very near and dear to our hearts!

One of our favorite scholarships to give at BSAC is for our TRIDENT program. Special needs adults are given the opportunity to learn invaluable life skills and receive hands-on job training. We are unique in helping this special needs community because there are not a lot of programs that offer services to adults who have aged out of school. Our TRIDENT participants become more independent, contributing members to society. They also have a lot of fun learning, exercising and growing with their peers when they spend time with us in this program.

BSAC also offers free swimming lessons to at-risk children in an effort to fulfill our mission of youth drowning prevention. Children in Florida are especially at risk for drowning due to the high number of bodies of water in our state.

Qualifying families are also eligible for scholarships to the BSAC After-School Experience (BASE).  Students have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular clubs at no extra cost, including robotics, arts & crafts, sports, culinary, community service, and more. BASE is located at our main location in addition to five Hillsborough County school sites, two of which are Title 1.

Without the generous support of our sponsors, donors, and volunteers, we would not be able to provide the high-quality care our families depend on us for every day. Please consider becoming an event sponsor or donating a silent auction item. We anticipate this being our biggest year yet and look forward to working with you and your business.

Ticket sales end Friday, February 14th.

New Playground Coming to BSAC Fall 2019

August 29th, 2019|0 Comments

This fall, BSAC will debut a behind the scenes project that has been many years in the making. Children and families at our main campus will soon be able to enjoy a brand new playground, complete with a shade structure.

The playground will be located to the left of the basketball courts and will be visible from the parking lot. It will have two slides, monkey bars, ladders, and other fun climbing apparatuses. Soft green turf will cover the ground and make a pathway to the gated area entrance.

While structured activities and organized games are essential for growth and development, we also understand the importance of free play. Children need the opportunity to socialize with friends, exercise, and spend time outdoors.

We look forward to the installation of our brand new playground, and will keep our families updated with news and announcements!
