Students in the BSAC Community Club brought their collected canned goods to ECHO of Brandon. This project was very successful as students learned about fundraising and giving to others in need. We would like to thank everyone who donated to make this possible! A whopping 739.8 pounds of food was donated, which will help 37 families put dinner on their table. Students learned the importance of other non-profit organizations that provide critical resources to our community, and they are eager to begin their next project! Click here for more photos:

Students in the Community Club have been working hard to collect food donations for E.C.H.O. in Hillsborough County. They will be visiting E.C.H.O. on November 28th to take a tour of the non-profit organization and learn how their efforts are making a direct impact to families in our community. This project not only benefits families in need, but it also teaches our students the importance of giving, working together, and learning about our community. All this hard work doesn't come without a little bit of fun though - the grade with the most donations will receive a free ice cream party! To determine the winner, students in the Community Club count and sort items before making bar graphs to track progress. Click for more photos.
