BSAC would like to congratulate the Team Leaders of October, Anna Massaro and Morgan Syzmanski! Both women regularly execute their roles to the highest possible degree, going above and beyond to provide a quality experience for our families.

Anna Massaro is a very familiar face around BSAC from working in Member Services, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten, and After-School All-Stars the past three years. She enjoys arriving early in the morning to prepare BSAC for the day before checking in members from VPK to Masters Tennis.

“I love interacting with people,” said Anna. “Everyone is a little bit different. The tennis players brighten my mood and ask about my day, while the younger kids are always happy and saying funny things.”

Anna loves making an impact in children’s lives after-school by being a positive, supportive influence. Her most memorable BSAC moments? Seeing the familiar faces of her students over the years and welcoming the excited embrace from a child in the morning.

“BSAC has impacted me in the fact that I am more patient and not so quick to judge,” said Anna. “I see how some kids act the way that they do because of their home life, so you never know what someone is going through.”

In her spare time, Anna loves going to baseball games and has visited five different baseball stadiums this year alone. She is also currently working on her bachelor’s degree in marketing and web design from the University of South Florida.

Morgan Szymanski joined the BSAC family in May of this year as our new Director of Curriculum and has since taken on the additional role of Kingswood Elementary Site Director. You can find her at BSAC in the morning working on crafts for her students or building relationships with community partners.

“I love seeing my ideas turn into drafts, which I then get to see in action,” said Morgan. “The kids love the new curriculum, so being able to see them enjoy what I create every day is really rewarding.”

It’s easy to see how passionate Morgan is about her role here at BSAC, impacting the lives of over 90 Title 1 students on a regular basis.  She looks forward to change and can’t wait to see how much she will grow in her profession by the end of her first year.

“It’s been great working at BSAC because I feel like what I’m doing is meaningful,” said Morgan. “There’s a lot going on and no day is the same, but I feel like we’re all family.”

When Morgan isn’t cheering on Tampa Bay Lightning goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevskiy, she’s busy planning a wedding with her Fiancé Edward. Morgan also enjoys playing Frisbee with her puppy at the dog park and dressing up for holiday parties.

On behalf of everyone at BSAC, we would like to thank Anna and Morgan for their positive attitudes and far reaching impact. We appreciate all that you do!
