Congratulations Anna & Morgan – Team Leaders of October

BSAC would like to congratulate the Team Leaders of October, Anna Massaro and Morgan Syzmanski! Both women regularly execute their roles to the highest possible degree, going above and beyond to provide a quality experience for our families. Anna Massaro is a very familiar face around BSAC from working in Member Services, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten, and After-School All-Stars the past three years. Kids Community Club – Food Drive

After-school students in the BSAC Community Club are making an impact by running a food drive for E.C.H.O. of Brandon, an organization striving to end hunger in southeastern Hillsborough County. The food drive will run from October 25th – November 16th for After-School All-Stars, and November 5th – November 16th for students in B.A.S.E. Students will bring all collected goods to E.C.H.O. on November 28th before taking a tour of the organization to learn more about their positive impact on those in need. Hillsborough County Fire Department to Visit all BSAC After-School Sites

Every year, fire safety is taught in schools across the state of Florida. BSAC’s after-school students have had the special opportunity to reinforce fire safety education through visits from the Hillsborough County Fire Department. BSAC Welcomes Specially Fit Exercise Program for Individuals with Special Needs

BSAC is pleased to welcome Specially Fit to campus, a program intended to help those with special needs stay physically active. Founder Marky Oliver graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, bringing experience as a CrossFit competitor and D1 college athlete. Marky’s journey with Specially Fit started when one of his personal training clients brought her special needs foster children to the gym during a session.
